Danny Dossett, Sr.
April 16, 1946-Oct. 18, 2025
For over 50 years, Dossett served as the owner of Dossett GMC Cadillac in Hattiesburg. He spent his life dedicated to serving his employees and his customers. The dealership’s 50-year celebration was featured last year in the Mississippi Auto Dealer magazine.
Henry Heafner
Jan. 27, 1934-June 11, 2025
Heafner began his career in the car business at the age of 20 when he started B&H in Batesville. Later, he founded Heafner Motors and became the owner-operator of several franchises, including Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Ford and Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. He was honored as the Mississippi TIME Dealer of the Year in 1992.
Dub Herring, Jr.
June 11, 1934-Oct. 8, 2025
Herring served as MADA chairman during 2003-2004 and was honored as the Mississippi TIME Dealer of the Year in 1999. His career in the car business began at Estabrook Ford and Pringle Ford in sales. In 1978, he purchased Stewart Ford in Picayune, Mississippi, where he built a lasting legacy in the community.
